This declaration - signed by Smallholders Party; National Peasant Party; Workers' Council of Budapest; Revolutionary Council of the Intelligentsia; Hungarian Writers Federation; National Federation of Hungarian Academic and University Students - reaffirms that the forces of revolution are making a united stand in the cause of socialism, and that they are able to safeguard the achievements of socialism and to maintain the internal order of the country against any attempts aimed at a restoration of a former regime.
