Witness SSS made a statement about Kádár&#039;s attempt to form a coalition government (4-6 November), and the Soviet intervention. Witness TTT, accused in the Rajk trials, made a statement about the trials. The committee asked him about the interrogations. Witness UUU was also expected to play an important role in the Rajk trial. He gave a statement on the torture he was subjected to, how important personalities of the revolution were captured and held prisoners, and the executions after the revolution. The committee asked him about the sources of his information and the names of his informants.]]></dcterms:abstract>

    <dcterms:abstract><![CDATA[The testimonies of Dr. Oliver Benjamin, Secretary General of the Hungarian Revolutionary Council (founded in Strasbourg, 1957) and Witness W, a doctor, and member of the Corvin group. Benjamin, a member of the newly organized Hungarian Social Democrat Party in the fall of 1956, gave an account of the first days of the revolution; he took part in the fighting at Kalvin Square. He saw Soviet tanks attacking a hospital and people lined up for bread at the Glaser Bakery. Witness W took an active part in the fighting as a doctor in Budapest, and was a member of the Corvin group.]]></dcterms:abstract>
